Ask and you shall receive!

It's official! I am finally a blogger. I am dedicating my first post to Lindsey because if it wasn't for her friendly persuasion I probably wouldn't have gotten around to doing this. Thanks LGB!

I felt that this was a good time to start a blog because a lot will be happening this year and this will be a good way for me to capture this important step in our life and share with friends and family. No, I'm not pregnant! To catch everyone up on what's going on, Nick and I have bought "dirt" on the M Streets and will be building our first home. I am really excited, but realize this will be a very slow process and I am trying to be patient. We are hoping to be in our new home by Thanksgiving, but realistically we will be happy if it is by Christmas. In the mean time, the lease on our townhouse is up May 23rd so we are moving in with Nick's parents in Arlington. They have been so gracious to open their home and let us live there until our house is done. I know this will be a lot of change for them too. If you can imagine, the next 6-7 months of our life will be full of change and chaos. I will keep all of you updated on the house, the living situation and all of the fun times in between.
